MYTH:

Rubies have been sought-after and treasures for centuries.  They are regarded as a symbol of love, affection, and passion due to its fiery red hue. 

A ruby is also said to protect its owner.  As a talisman, they  preserve the body and mental health of the wearer by removing evil thoughts, controlling amorous desires, and reconciling disputes.

Ancient warriors believed that a ruby would protect them from attack in battle. 

It is also thought that rubbing a ruby on the skin promotes a youthful appearance.
